City Treasurer, North Muskegon
The City of North Muskegon is seeking a qualified individual to become our next City Treasurer. The current City Treasurer is retiring after 27-years of service. Under the direction of the City Manager, the City Treasurer’s primary duty is to coordinate accounting with various City departments, auditors, and granting agencies. Additionally, the City Treasurer is responsible for maintaining a general journal entry accounting system, overseeing budget appropriations in order to verify the availability of funds, and prepares financial reports. Additional duties include:
- Processing payroll
- Benefit administration
- Utility billing
