Responsible for difficult and complex budgetary programs, including one or more of following;
Fringe Benefits program, Budget Forecast program, Revenues and Non-Departmental programs, and Financial Committee coordination.
Plans, researches, analyzes, and evaluates departmental functions to determine and recommend operating and funding requirements.  Analyzes and makes recommendations of organizational structures. Prepares and submits written and oral budgetary recommendations required in operations of County Departments. Assists departmental representatives in budget-related aspects of programs. Uses economic forecasting and financial analytic techniques to prepare short and long-range projections in assessing impact of budget changes and legislative requirements. Provides financial technical expertise in budget and financial meetings.

At the time of application, applicants must:

1. Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Public Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Political Science, or a related field; AND

2. Have had three years of full-time work experience in financial analysis, business administration, general accounting, cost accounting, economic analysis, systems analysis, personnel administration, or related area.

NOTE: A Master's degree in one of the fields listed above may be substituted for one year of the work experience described above.

3. Pass the complete examination, including the employment medical, established for this classification.

4. Successfully complete the six-month probationary period.
