POSITION: Utility Billing Specialist
Full-Time Position
SALARY RANGE: $58,978.04 - $62,588.37 yearly with an extensive fringe benefit package, including a DC plan, medical, vision, dental, short/long term disability, life insurance, and PTO.
Reporting to the Director of Public Services, the Utility Billing Specialist oversees the BS&A billing system used for invoicing Township water and sanitary sewer clients. This role involves providing information, investigating issues, and managing collections and credit arrangements to ensure accounts are handled correctly. The specialist collaborates with meter reading staff and is well-versed in all aspects of the Division's meter reading equipment and utility billing system. Additionally, the Utility Billing Specialist ensures that practices comply with accepted accounting principles and legislative standards.
Successful candidates will have:
· High School Diploma
· Associate’s degree - AS in Business, Public Administration, Accounting, or other related degree required. Bachelor’s Degree in above concentrations preferred.
· Three (3) to five (5) years of experience Utility Billing, Accounts Payable or other related experience.
· Must be proficient in BS&A with strong skills in Utility Billing, Accounts Payable and Building Department modules.
· Experience with Cityworks or related CMMS work order software
· Experience with specialized Advanced Metering Integration systems.
· Well experienced in Microsoft Office applications
